Assalamualaikum !

Entry pendek je kot ni. Rehat sat daripada buat assignment study of English Grammar. Entah kenapa jari jemari ni terase sungguh laju dan rajin nak buat entry pepagi bute nih. -ayat cliche- 

 Time entry ini ditulis...dah pukul 4.15 pagi....tak tido lagi. Trimas kopi O. Ape nak merapu ye kali ni? Hehehe.

Ok la, rasa nak cakap pasal implied meaning, yakni you're implying something, without blatantly stating the real message that you want to convey, so that you'll not be seen as ignorant, showing off, or anything in between. 

To put it in simple words; implied meaning- ko nak nyatakan sesuatu, tapi kene la ade unsur2 tersirat, berlapik2 gak. Kalo cakap direct, kantoi ah, kan? 

Contoh? Ok, this is a good one. Terjumpa recently, tapi x ingat mane source nye. Post dekat laman forum picisan or something similar lah rasenye. (Ape pakai bahase rojak nihh). 

 "Nak kene amek game la letak dalam lappy baru aku nih. Bosan le xblh men game" 

  Implied meaning? 

              -brader ni ade lappy baru 

              -brader ni gamer 

              

Kekadang (selalunya) implied meaning dalam ayat-ayat atau perbualan ni tak bagus, sebenarnya lah. Yela, dalam nak nyatakan sesuatu tu, nak tak nak, mesti la nk cakap jugak kelebihan kita, kan? Boleh membawak kepada satu lagi perkara berbahaya; SYIRIK KECIL. --riak, ujub, takbur and all the points in between-- 

 *ape kecik je...bertaubatla kan?*

Ooo..bahaye weh mende ni. Burn aje amalan yang (dahla sikit) pastu sia2 pulak tu. Mintak dijauhkan... 

Contoh satu lagi? Nah, sorang member ni malam sebelumnye terbangun, n buat solat sunat tahajjud. Pendek citer, syaitan berjaye hasut dia "Wey, ko cite la pe ko buat mlm tadi....baru + respek dia kat ko" 

Nak cakap direct, nampak sgt la kann...jadi dia pun ckp le secara implied meaning. 

A:      "Wey, mlm tadi ko tau x hujan lebat kilat sabung-menyabung?" 

B:      "Ooo yeke? Aku x sedar pun..cne ko tau ni ? Aku tido mati kot. " 

A:     "Ala, aku terbangun malam tadi, buat ah tahajjud seround skali ngan witir, elok2 je aku nk tido balik,    hujan lebat gile tau.." 

Nah, burn habis..sia2 je amalan kan? Haaa....

Tapi jangan la nampak aje status ke tweet yg pakai implied meaning ni ingat member ade nk show off ke ape..sangka baik je slalu. Dalam hati org len mana kita nak tau kan? Sangka baik selalu je, and no harm will be done ^^ 

Semuanya bergantung pada niat. Mungkin dia nak tunjuk teladan baik ke...pengajaran ke, dll. 

Ok lah, I better get back to my assignment. Sikit lagi nak siap tu. Woha!

Semester II Ramblings

Greetings, Earthlings!

It's my turn to post my ramblings :)

Semester II has commenced!!  [ #you don't say?? ] 

Now we've gone past mid-semester and yet, I've just come up with only this one post. Here's to popping the cherry for the second semester blogpost. Hahaha. 

Much has happened, and as the semester proceeds, the subjects get tougher, not to mention that I'm minoring in Biology, a stark contrast to my major paper which is English. People would always ask, "why would you do a minor in Bio?" or "You crazy ah?" and those that are of the same kind, and my answer would be, "well, I just want to do this! Hehe"....when ACTUALLY the University encourages trans-diciplinary study. A mix between science and arts. Exquisite. 

The real reason is that I just want to have the option to further my studies, whether it's in arts stream or science. Just for the sake of keeping the option alive, so as not to stray far away from science. To top that, penat doh buat paper sastera memanjang....3 hour stretch is not good for the hands! 

*I'm left-handed*

Science paper the most they will go if I'm not mistaken is just 2 hours and a half (If my memory serves me right, though ~ ) 

Evolved to a full time class troll, and the title comes with its own pro and cons...*tsk* *tsk* *tsk*

Pro:  whatever you do or say is considered a pun 

(read: pun is usually a humorous use of a word in such a way as to suggest 2 or > of its meanings. in short, saying/doing funny things) 

Cons: The inverse of the above. People don't take you seriously when you give compliments, except when you're doing presentations. 

Secured an internship in The Sun Northern Hub for this coming "cuti panjang"...so, I'll be in the shoes of a trainee journalist. The experience will change me (according to the ketua editor lah). Well, we'll see about that, though. The good, the bad and all the points in between, I'll have to swallow it lohh. 

Am preparing for a comeback since I've been left on my own devices (crash and burn). Ich bin das schön ok already. You don't know what you're missing, though~ 

Dropped 7 Kilos....(Gila) Hehehe.

@jawacina ----the name speaks for itself : I'm a 'fusion' between jawa n cina. I speak Jawa too! (only the fact that it's just a colloquial Javanese - Jawa kasar- a little...but it still counts, whaaaattt~~)

P/s: you don't say meme is used when someone is stating the obvious, and you're as the dude/ dudette stating the "you don't say??" phrase as a sarcastic remark to Captain Obvious.

Of Holiday Activity, Results and New Semester.

Assalamualaikum, 

In Honor of LKM 400 paper (BM paper), this entry will be (mostly) in Malay XD

Kalo nak cakap tentang tajuk entry ni....yela cuti sebulan je..so dok la kat umah sat..then pi ke KL
untuk sambut CNY dengan tok nenek aku (angpau besaq wooo~) dan di samping tu sempat la jugak
perabiskan baucer buku tu...baru pakai RM100 je. ade lagi bakinye. Rilek dlu lah kan...sebulan je lagi bulan Mac (boley pi Borders / Book Garden @ USM ->hbskan baucer)

So, sempat la saye join Program Debat DiRaja 2012 yg USM jadi tuan rumahnye. Kene balik awal la ke kampus (2 Feb)...utk prep segale benda. Basically, event ni berjalan dari 2-16 Februari 2012.
Event ni memang teramat2 best walaupun kene korbankan sikit time cuti. Kene jage sidang bahase Arab...jadi penjaga masa. As I expected, I won't understand sepatah harom. Tapi tetap enjoy being there since aku dapat merasekan sesuatu yang len. kih3.

Sepanjang program tu jugak aku jadi LO (liaison officer) aka pengiring untuk UMK (Universiti Malaysia Kelantan). They are a bunch of good guys. Sangat mudah bagi kerjasama..enjoy je working with them..I'm thankful ditugaskan jaga depa ni. Sbb yela, kalo jage U len2 yg 'gah2' tu...dari citer LO len, depa kerek siot (some of them, not all lah). And on the last day before sending them off, I got a hadiah kenang2an from one of them; tie UMK wooo....sempoi!...heheh...seriously I didn't expect anything..but thanks guys!

All in all, I had a good time, made new friends....heheh...oh, and about my first sem result...Alhamdulillah! ^^ That's all from me for now....and I've decided on my minor already...which is Biology. Major in English for Professionals, Minor in Biology. Hehehe. I've always loved Biology..since sekola lagi. Too bad can't take German level 2 this sem...to many clashes :(
